What you must be able to do
By the end of this training, you will understand the core rules and terminology of AFL and be able to use that knowledge to accurately and efficiently code an AFL match using iSports Video Analyser.

Contested, uncontested and handball-received possessions; kicks and handballs; effective, ineffective and turnover outcomes; men’s and women’s definitions; marks including contested, uncontested, inside 50 and intercept.

Clip matchingTackles; centre-bounce, ball-up and throw-in clearances; clearance chains; and rebound 50s.

Complete a knowledge check, download short clips and practise coding them in the software.
Knowledge + hands-on test04 Post-Match Procedure Finish, check and export a match correctly after the final siren.
Complete home and away checks, sort rows, review unknown players, and export CSV, XML and highlight files.
Review short examples and identify what has been completed correctly and what must be fixed.

Code one complete quarter
Set up, code and finalise one quarter of football for both home and away teams. Your submitted file will be reviewed against the completed iSports benchmark so we can assess accuracy, consistency and workflow.
